Monday after the weekend

Hidey Hoo and I hope all had a wonderful weekend thus far, cause I had a wonderful weekend and well rested to start this brand new week!!

I managed to do some yard work today, such as prepare the garden for the upcoming Autumn season; do a little shopping and even visited a friend to chat and have tea. A wonderful weekend after all...
Also, I managed to create some art pages in which you can see to the side and below this post. A day without creating is a day wasted as I always say...so let's get creative America and for those who live outside of America!!

In the news today, A terrible tragedy at a Kenyan Malll where gunmen have killed innocent people and are still holding several people hostage. I am praying that this ends quickly before anyone else is killed. You can read the article in the Online edition of the Washington Post newspaper here

and here in America, The Government is trying to avoid a shutdown....Congress rejected ObamaCare...and so far has passed legislation which would keep the Government open until December....who knows what will happen after that? You can check out the article here

In Technology news, Blackberry has sold for a large sum of money!!! Check it out at the Online edition of Washington Post

I read an interesting article in the Catholic Review stating that pet ownership can be beneficial to older adults.
“There is definitely literature that says older adults, especially older adults that have had pets, benefit from having them,” said Janet Simon Schreck, a gerontologist and executive director of Loyola Clinical Centers at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore. “It has to do with social interactions. The pet offers them a partner or a companion, but also may take them into an experience where they socialize with others.”
"In addition to companionship, pets – whether they are dogs, cats, rabbits or fish – can promote exercise and cognitive vitality, Simon Schreck said."

Well, Gotta go take care of some errands and enjoy this lovely day. So, Have a Blessed Day and enjoy the art work....
