Inauguration Day-2013

Today was a day of celebration and excitement as President Barack Obama took the Oath for the second term as President of The United States in Washington, DC among throngs of people, dignitaries and celebrities!!
An excerpt from an article in the Online edition of the Washington Post newspaper reads:
President Obama was sworn in for a second term on Monday morning, using his inaugural address to cast modern-day priorities--fighting climate change, welcoming immigrants, and ensuring gay rights--as the extension of a long struggle to live up to the Founders’ ideals.
“Being true to our founding documents does not require us to agree on every contour of life. It does not mean we all define liberty in exactly the same way or follow the same precise path to happiness,” Obama said, speaking to a flag-waving crowd that spilled down the Mall."
Also, In other news, This is a day of celebrating the life and times of Dr Martin Luther King, A civil Rights activists who fought for the rights of all Americans to live peacefully amongst one another.
And, The Ravens are headed to the SuperBowl on Feb 3 to the play the Patriots!! Also, This is Ray Lewis' last game before he retires from the sport of football, and also the SuperBowl will pit Brother against Brother, as an article in the Washington Post indicates.
It looks as though the New Year is starting off with a lot of exciting, Fun and Historical events!! I can't wait to see what the year 2013 will surprise us with next??? The saga continues...
