Hurricane Irene strikes East Coast

A dark, dreary day this weekend as the rain begins to fall non-stop from the Heavens and the winds pick up in anticipation of Hurricane Irene!

The Hurricane expected to hit the East Coast, hitting hardest on North Carolina's beaches, and making its ' way up the East coast including Maine will feel the remnants of this Hurricane!

New York has closed its Subway sytstem because of the storm as reported in this article published in the Naples Online edition.

A great day to stay indoors to have a cup of Tea, eat cookies and watch movies. Or, A nice day to catch up on some sleep!
I almost ended up sleeping for the entire day but I decided to get up and do some errands around the house before the storm arrives later this evening. Plus, I don't think I could stay in the bed with all this excitement a buzz!! I need to be where the action is happening, and I kind of wish I was in North Carolina right now experiencing the high winds, Rains and the effects of Hurricane Irene!!
Here is a link on how to prepare for Hurricane Irene and what to have...Also, Hurricane Irene moves into the DC area, according to an article in the Washington Post.

But as a quote once said, This too shall pass and the world will be back to "normal" after the storm!
An article headline from the USA Today says it the best as it reads Hurricane Irene 'large and dangerous,' claims lives in N.C.
